Angelo di Dios Angel is a 15 year old Maltese adopted from the Placer SPCA. Angel's original owner got him on an impulse without thinking about the grooming and other needs of a Maltese.
Angel holds the Canine Good Citizen certificate and is a retired Therapy Dog.

Olivia Grace Olivia is an 14 year old Shih Tzu/Yorkie. She was adopted from the Placer SPCA, but Olivia started life in a puppy mill. Years of neglect and misuse left Olivia emotionally fragile. It's only recently that Olivia has begun to spend time outside of her carrier.

Samuel Alexander & Milan Raphaela Samuel (left) is a 5 year old Domestic Shorthair. I found him under a dumpster when he was only 4-5 weeks old. Samuel is shy around people he doesn't know, but he's a real momma's boy at heart. Samuel's favorite pastime is being a big brother to our foster kittens.
Milan (right) is a 3 year old Domestic Shorthair. She was adopted from the Cats About Town Society. Milan enjoys birdwatching and keeping Samuel in line when he gets too rowdy.

Kisses Kisses is about 2 years old. He's a black/white hooded domestic rat. Kisses was given up by his previous owner because she didn't have time to care for him. In spite of not being socialized much, Kisses proved to be a real love. Being somewhat of an old man, Kisses favorite activity is sleeping in his hammock .

Jerry Jerry was born September 3, 2006. He is a mink colored Dumbo domestic rat. (Dumbo refers to his ears being set lower on the side of his head than a standard rat.) Jerry was surrendered to Rattie Ratz Rescue as part of an unintentional litter the owners couldn't care for. Jerry is very curious and enjoys wrestling with his little brother, Tom.

Tom Tom is a blue/white hooded standard domestic rat. He was born October 5, 2006. Tom and his family were surrendered to Rattie Ratz Rescue because the owner was going to Europe on a trip. Tom is a bit shyer than the others and enjoys wrestling with Jerry and snuggling with Blackie.

Drew, Lewis & Oswald Drew is a fawn hairless domestic rat born March 19, 2007. Lewis is fawn hooded hairless domesitc rat. Oswald is a fawn blazed hairless domestic rat. Lewis and Oswald were born March 23, 2007. Drew is their half brother. Drew, Lewis and Oswald were adopted from CandiRats Rattery. Lewis is the more outgoing of the three, but all are sweet boys.

Maximus Kittenus Max is a black Domestic Shorthair. He was born in July of 2005. In spite of the resemblance and birthday he's not biologically related to Donny and Joey.
Max is shyer than most of my bunch and prefers to split his time between birdwatching and watching tv.

Charley Bear Charley is a standard Chinchilla born in July of 2004. He was adopted from Chinchilla Rescue. Charley had been returned to the rescue after the owners decided they couldn't care for him properly.
Charley is a real sweety who enjoys running on his wheel. His favorite treat is dried banana chips.

Donny O Donny is a blue-cream Domestic Shorthair born July 2005. He was born to a feral mother under my neighbors house. Donny is very friendly and loves to cuddle with Angel.

Joey Patrick Joey is a black Domestic Shorthair. Like Donny, Joey was born July 2005 under the house next door. He is a little shy, but very loving once he gets used to you. When he wants your attention, Joey will pat you with his paw.

And then there's me. I was born and raised in old Roseville and have had animals around me all my life. My mother claims my first word was "horsey". Since childhood I've spent many hours reading books about different animals and their care. Today I continue to read and take classes to keep up-to-date on the latest animal care. I look forward to meeting you and your 4-legged friends.
